Loads Of Bulbs
Today I bought 375 Spring flowering bulbs - Daffodils, Crocuses, Anemones etc. Add them to the 100 Crocus bulbs I already had and that means I'm in for a busy Bank Holiday weekend.

I hope the rain stays away.

Talk to you later,

Susan.

Another Dream And A Question
I had another daft dream last night, Mr & Mrs Nobby Knobhead next door had built another extension. This time it was at the front of the house. They had extended the front room into the garden so all I could see when I looked out of the window was a brick wall - just like when I look out of the back window in real life.

I know this could never happen - they would never be granted planning permission for something like that would they? Although you never know with Darlington Borough Council.

As you may know I have another blog about my knitting machines which is on Blogger. In January I deleted it and immediately regretted it so I re-started it a couple of weeks later.

Of course, I had lost all of the posts which dated back to July 2005. Over the last couple of weeks I've been searching for the lost posts and re-publishing the ones I've managed to find, as well as some of the comments.

I haven't managed to find the very first post which was made on 24th July 2005 and I've only managed to find three or four from August and September of the same year.

Does anyone know how I might be able to get those posts back?

I have found hundreds thanks to the wayback machine, Yahoo site search and Google searches. I also used Google Reader to find a lot of the feeds as far back as mid 2006.

It's just those elusive first posts that I'm stuck on.

I can find some of them but they aren't cached so when I click on them I get the 'page not found' message.

I've even tried right clicking and looking through the source code but to no avail.

In desperation I decided to contact Blogger to see if they could help but I just ended up going round and round in circles and never finding the contact page.

I'll probably just have to post my question on the help forum and hope that someone from Blogger sees it and takes pity on me. I know it's my fault I've lost the posts - it never occurred to me just to make the blog private rather than delete it.

So, does anyone have any other suggestions?

I would be grateful for any help.

Talk to you later,

Susan.

What's Going On?
I didn't feel too well yesterday, I had a splitting headache and I felt quite nauseous. It was my day off so I was at home all day. At about half past two in the afternoon I decided to go for a lie down and I ended up sleeping for two hours.

As I had to be up early this morning for work I went to bed early last night - 9pm. I couldn't get to sleep, I was tossing and turning and I was freezing cold even though it wasn't a cold night. I obviously did fall asleep because at one point I woke up and looked at the clock but the display wasn't lit up.

I put my hand out to feel for the clock and it was still there on the bedside table but there was no display showing. I then looked up to see that the bedroom door was open, I can reach it from the bed when it's open and I put my hand out and touched it - it was definitely open. By now I was scared because I always close the bedroom door at night. I thought that someone must have broken into the house but Floss hadn't barked so they can't have.

I shouted out in fear "what's going on?" There was something not quite right about this.

I got out of bed, put my dressing gown on and went downstairs closely followed by Floss. I went into the front room and saw that there were no standby lights on the video or hi-fi so I assumed there had been a power cut.

I looked towards the window and the curtains were open which was strange because I'd closed them before I went to bed, as I always do. There were no lights on in any of the houses so it must have been a power cut.

There was a taxi parked outside next door's with it's engine running and a man was getting out of it.

I took my mobile phone out of my dressing gown pocket to check the time and there was a message showing. I tried to read the message but the buttons wouldn't respond when I pressed them so I couldn't retrieve the message. Then the phone bleeped.

The next thing was the radio on the hi-fi started playing. I went to turn it off and there were two more hi-fi's in the corner - I only have one - I turned one off and the second one started playing. I turned the second one off and the third one started playing. So I turned that one off and the first one started playing.

"What's happening?" I shouted.

Every time I turned the hi-fi off it came back on again.

The TV had turned on so I went over to switch it off. I noticed the things in the unit below the TV had been disturbed and one of my work boots was in it, the other one was on the floor. This was strange because I always put them in a cupboard in the back room when I take them off.

By now I was absolutely terrified but the dog was just acting as if everything was alright.

I went into the back room and looked out of the patio window - again the curtains were open even though I'd closed them before I went to bed. Next door's security light was on and it was lighting up the garden. I said to Floss "it's alright, there's nobody there" but she went to the back door - she wanted to go out.

I went to turn the handle on the door and it was unlocked with the keys still in it. How could that have happened? I locked the door and put the keys away in a cupboard before I went to bed.

I opened the door and Floss went running towards the side gate, barking at a cat that was sitting on the fence. The side gate was open and Floss went out. I shouted "FLOSS!" as loud as I could and she stopped dead in her tracks. This was also very strange because any other time she would have been off like a shot after the cat.

I shouted her to come in and she shouted back "Susan, Susan" (you'd think I would have realised what was happening by now). I went out and brought Floss inside the gate then I locked it - there was a great big hole in.

We went back inside the house and I can't remember what happened after that - until I woke up.

I looked at the clock which was now displaying the time - 11:15.

This time I really was awake.

What a strange dream that was - even when the dog was talking to me I thought it was really happening, I didn't realise that I was stuck in the middle of a bad dream.

The first thing I did was pick up my voice recorder and record the dream - I didn't want to forget that one!

I can't wait to see what tonight brings.

Talk to you later,

Susan.
